| Today, Wiedingen-bred three-year-old Pearl Diamond broke her maiden at the spring meet in Baden-Baden recording a fine victory in the 1,600 m Preis der BBAG Auktionen Iffezheim (D) for owners Stall Swiss Connection and Cologne-based trainer Waldemar Hickst. Tugged away at the back of the field by jockey Alexander Pietsch, the Areion-filly changed gears entering the home stretch and flew by her opponenents to nail the victory at the wire. Pearl Diamond is out of our Surumu-mare Pretty Sue, who is also the dam of the group horses Precious Boy and Prema. |
