The crowd at Hanover racetrack witnessed two two-year-old fillies giving promising lifetime debuts over 1400 meters today. Wittekindshof stud’s Serienholde and Auenquelle stud’s Blumenfee delivered a packing finish to the wire which the latter decided for herself with a nose advantage. Jack Mitchell was in the saddle of the Jens Hirschberger trained Blumenfee, who is a daughter of Listed winner Bella Flora (Slip Anchor). Eduardo Pedroza rode the Andreas Wöhler trained Serienholde, who is out of of the Highest Honor-mare Saldenehre, whose dam Salde holds responsible for such successful group horses as Saldenschwinge, Saldentigerin and Saltas. Serienholde has a standing nomination for the Preis der Winterkönigin (Gr. 3), Germany’s prestigious race to crown the two-year-old champion filly. |
