Derby Crop successful for Soldier Hollow! |
Pentecost Monday witnessed three great wins for our stallion Soldier Hollow: at Cologne, jockey Adrie de Vries steered Ivanhowe (out of the Sternkönig mare Indigo Girl) to a dominating victory in a maiden race over 2200 meters for the stud farm Gestüt Schlenderhahn. Appearing to be a rather typical Soldier Hollow offspring, Ivanhowe has been entered for the German Derby. The same day, Alamance was victorious over 2000 meters in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. The filly by Soldier Hollow is out of Adasha (Dashing Blade), bred and owned by Mrs. A. Muntwyler and trained by Chr. Bucher, Switzerland. Frédéric Spanu was aboard the promising three-year-old. Back on April 30th, Gestüt Röttgen’s Windsor passed the maiden class with a fine win over 2200 meters for trainer Markus Klug and jockey Daniele Porcu. We congratulate the winning teams and wish them continued success and good health for their horse’s careers. |
