A total of 22 yearlings by our Champion Sire SOLDIER HOLLOW were knocked down at yesterday's BBAG Yearling Sale and generated a total of €1,185,000, which averages €53,864 per yearling. The list was topped by a Park Wiedingen-bred full sister to the current G3 winner WAI KEY STAR (Lot 199 - photo), who became the property of RTC GmbH for €140,000. Above the hundred thousand mark was also AUENFÜRST (Lot 211) offered by Gestüt Auenquelle, who is out of the Listed winner Auengunst. He went to Mikael Tjernström for €120,000, while his stable mate APEX, out of top mare ALISAR, went to Orbis Bloodstock for the same amount. IVA-Alles put ten thousand euros more on the table for a filly by SOLDIER HOLLOW out of the G1 winner SORTILEGE (Lot 192), who was offered by Gestüt Karlshof.
The colt by CAMELOT out of our top mare FLAMINGO ROSE was acquired by Manfred Krauser, while FUNFAIR's first offspring, a colt by SOLDIER HOLLOW will complete the lot of Horst Pudwill. The SOLDIER HOLLOW filly out of the FLAMINGO SKY was consigned by Panorama Bloodstock. |
