| SHALONA by our champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW delivered an impressive performance in today's €25,000 Henkel-Stutenpreis, a Listed challenge für fillies of the derby crop over the mile at Duesseldorf. Trained by Henk Grewe for Stall Lucky Friends, the three-year-old debuted last November with a win and appeared much improved in her first outing of the year. Jockey Maxim Pecheur tried to hide the eager SOLDIER HOLLOW-daughter midfield from where she took off like a bolt despite not finding a passage right away. Once she did, she drew clear easily and had put nearly two lenghts behind herself and the field to gift her sire with a second Black Type point within only a few days. |
