JOPLIN goes gate-to-wire in Munich L2 handicap 
Top weight could not keep JOPLIN from winning the Allianz-Pokal, a €10,000 Level 2 handicap over 1600 m at Munich's racecourse today. French top jockey Cyrille Stéfan took the five-year-old by our champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW to an uncontested gate-to-wire win by one and a half lengths for trainer Dieter Fechner and owners Stall Captain's Friends.
