| EMOJI by SOLDIER HOLLOW broke her maiden at her first time out in the opening race at Baden-Baden's Sales & Racing Festival - and she did so in a manner that takes our anticipatory levels for the turf season 2020 to a whole new level. Carlos Henrique took the filly to a gate-to-wire win over 1600 m on heavy turf that looked like a walk in the park for the Henk Grewe-trained youngster. The fourteen lengths noted by the stewards certainly do not reflect the enormous ease of the victory, as the jockey never even moved his hands in the final straight. EMOJI is out of the Manduro-mare Exotic Rose; she is nominated for the 2020 German Oaks. |
