The fact that SOLDIER HOLLOW passes on a great deal of fighting spirit to his progeny is well known, and Stall Fürstehof's WILD PAPILLON proved today that he is no exception. The three-year-old colt was convincing in his maiden win over 2400m in his fourth time out when he scored by a short head after he appeared already beaten fifty metres off the post in a thrilling head-to-head run. WILD PAPILLON was given a brilliant ride by Martin Seidl who forms a very successful team with trainer Erika Mäder this year. |
