Yesterday, the Wiedingen-bred five-year-old Precious Fire recorded a nice win in the highest handicap section by taking the Schierle Stahlrohre-Pokal at Düsseldorf racetrack. After showing the way throughout the race, the Big Shuffle-son held on gamely to reach the wire after 1700 m by a little more than a length. In training with Wolfgang Figge in Munich for Stall Salzburg, Precious Fire is out of our Surumu-mare Pretty Su (IRE), who is the dam of the Big Shuffle progeny Gr. II winner Precious Boy and Gr. III-placed Prema.
