THE LAUREATE earns Black Type at Chantilly 
THE LAUREATE by SOLDIER HOLLOW had his first outing at Black Type level yesterday and managed the leap in performance with flying colors. The three-year-old colt, who had previously recorded two consecutive wins, finished an excellent third under Pierre-Charles Boudot in the €55,000 Prix Maurice Caillault over 1800m. THE LAUREATE was bred at Gestüt Auenquelle. His second dam is the top mare Gonfalon, who produced the two-time G1 winner Gonbarda.
