It was a strong performance by Gestüt Auenquelle's VIRGINIA STORM in his annual debut in today's G3 Bavarian Classic at Munich racecourse. The SOLDIER HOLLOW colt, who had finished third in the G3 Herzog von Ratibor-Rennen in his last outing in November 2020, developed great speed under Andrasch Starke in the final straight and, after 2000 metres, only had to bow to a superior opponent who already had a race in his belly. Henk Grewe trains VIRGINIA STORM, who next targets the G2 Union-Rennen on the way to the German Derby.
