Without any previous warm-up, WISMAR, prepared for us by Peter Schiergen, immediately presented herself in top form on Gr.3 level at Cologne today and earned the much sought after Black Type in the Karin Baronin von Ullman-Schwarzgold-Rennen. The Röttgen bred daughter of our three-time champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW was stalking the leader from the get-go in the 1600m test for three-year-old fillies and fought well in a thrilling finish under Bauyrzhan Murzabayev. In the end, she was only a neck behind the winner at the post.
A quite outstanding performance in her first time out for WISMAR, who will take the route to the G1 German Oaks via a start in the G2 1,000 Guineas in four weeks. |
