Only minutes after Axana's success at Lingfield, SOLDIER HOLLOW's 48th Stakes win came at home in Germany when Gestuet Auenquelle's REINE D'AMOUR presented herself in brilliant form in her annual debut at Düsseldorf and revived memories of her triumph in last year's G3 Zukunftsrennen. Ridden by Adrie de Vries, the three-year-old trained by Marcel Weiß ran a fantastic race in the Listed-level Henkel-Stutenpreis, which was run over the mile, and safely relegated her rivals to the places by a length.
With this impressive performance REINE D'AMOUR should have recommended herself for the favorite role in the G2 1,000 Guineas scheduled in three weeks.
