| In a grand, thrilling finish, the SOLDIER HOLLOW daughter REINE D'AMOUR edged out the favorite from France in today's €33,000 G3 Hamburger Stutenmeile and thus ensured the 53rd Stakes win for her sire. Rene Piechulek, who praised his partner's fighting spirit, gave the three-year-old trained by Marcel Weiß for Gestüt Auenquelle a perfect trip and supported the Oaks-nominated REINE D'AMOUR through a breathtaking finish that gave her a narrow advantage of one nose after 1600 metres. |
