What a day for our three-time champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW! The second group race of the undercard to today's German Derby was also won by one of our champion's progeny. Thanks to a breathtaking finish, fresh Listed-winner SCONSET came to her first group success and third consecutive win in the €33,000 G3 Mehl-Mülhens Trophy. Like Reine D'Amour before her, the Peter Schiergen-trained Ebbesloh filly had Bauyrzhan Murzabayevin in the saddle for a game fight in the final straight and, after 2200 metres, had one and a half lengths advantage over the Oaks co-favorite Amazing Grace.
