Our three-time champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW recorded two great wins at Saint-Cloud, France today. ES LA VIDA, who races in the colours of her breeder Bernd Dietel, recorded her first full point at Black Type level in the Prix Coronation (€55,000). The three-year-old was the horse to beat in the Listed contest over the mile with Olivier Peslier on board, and she more than confirmed that notion. The large-framed filly, who had impressed with a third-place finish in the G1 Prix Saint-Alary in May, dominated the race and secured a fine win by a length without ever seeing the whip.
An hour prior, the Stéphane Wattel-trained ROSACEA booked her second consecutive win. The two-year-old by SOLDIER HOLLOW shone in the €34,000 Prix Pharel under Théo Bachelot with a enormous speed. Coming from the back of the pack, the sole filly in the field stormed past the opponents and clocked in soundly with a nose advantage after 1500 metres. |
