| Pastorius successful on group 3 level |
| In the 22nd running of the Große Preis der Deutschen Einheit, a Group 3 race over 10 furlongs (2.000 m), two-time Group 1 winner Pastorius charged late for an easy win. After setting the early pace, former Dallmayr winner, Durban Thunder, looked like the sure winner for most of the race, but Adrie de Vries asked Pastorius for a good kick down the stretch and got a great response from the colt, who won by 1 ¼ lengths. | ||
