| Wiedingen-bred Waky Sol hit the high notes at his first outing at Mülheim racetrack today. The Soldier Hollow-son took a maiden race over 1,600 meters and looked like a pro doing so! Jockey Alexander Pietsch directed the impressingly mature three-year-old from the gates straight to the front and together the pair developed the most effective speed to put two lengths between themselves and the opponents at the wire. Waky Sol was bred out of the Danehill-mare Wakytara, a half-sister to champion miler Waky Nao and dam of the groupe-placed Monsun-son Wheredreamsare. Stall Grafenberg acquired Waky Sol through the 2012 BBAG-Yearlings Sale — one more reason to watch out for Wiedingen products and Soldier Hollow offspring at the upcoming BBAG auction on 4th of September! |
