| Breeding success for our stud in highlight of year |
| What a derby! In a finish that could not be any more thrilling, home-bred Soldier Hollow-son Dschingis Secret ran the best race of his career so far and fought hard to finish with a terrific third place! Breaking from the far gate, Martin Seidl and his partner were given a challenge from the start, which the young jockey mastered brilliantly and served the colt an ideal race, adjusted to the turf conditions. Racing in touch with the leading group for all of the race, Dschingis Secret showed a great turn of foot in the stretch and was only beaten by a neck by runner-up Savoir Vivre (F. Minarik/J.P. Carvalho/Stall Ullmann), who in turn was only a headlong away from the surprise winner (D. Vargiu/A. Wöhler/Darius Racing). If the race had only gone a meters furthers …! About a length behind Dschingis Secret, another Wiedingen-bred Soldier Hollow-colt passed the wire as fourth: Wai Key Star (E. Pedroza/A. Wöhler/Stall Salzburg) und underscored the class of our star sire Soldier Hollow and, simultaneously, completed this fantastic result for our stud. We congratulate owner Horst Pudwill, jockey Martin Seidl and the team surrounding trainer Markus Klug to this great result—and, also, congratulate the Wai Key Star’s connections.
