Once again could a progeny of our star sire Soldier Hollow score at the first try, and two-year-old Silver Cloud did so in very promising manner. The Sascha Smrczek- trained filly dominated her male opponents over 1,500 m in Duesseldorf without her jockey Francisco da Silva ever having to ask the slender bay in ernest. Our large-framed Soldier Hollow-son Wilder Wein (A. Helfenbein/M. Klug) also gave his debut in this race and finished a good third.
Silver Cloud was bred by her owner Erika Mueller out of the unraced Doyen-mare Sassicaia, who is a sister to group winner and stallion Santiago. |
