Wiedingen-bred Soldier Hollow-daughter Nymeria goes France for breeding!
The final day of the Tattersalls December Sales closed with a drum-roll from the perspective of our star sire Soldier Hollow when his daughter Nymeria went through the ring at the Mare Sale as Lot 1777. Bred here with us in Wiedingen as a daughter of our Narooma, four-year-old Nymeria completed her successful racing career in the silks of Grafenberg Stud and will now travel to the Normandy, where she will start her breeding career for Haras de Saint Pair, a stud farm steeped in tradition and owned by German-born Andreas Putsch who paid a whooping 200,000 gns for the bay filly.

Nymeria is Soldier Hollow’s most successful older female progeny to date. The consistent filly completed three racing seasons and 15 starts by hitting the money ranks 10 times. Even though she had a couple of rough trips in her final season, Nymeria always impressed with great fighting spirit and a lot of heart. Versatile over distances from 1,400 to 2,100 meters, Nymeria’s best form came in two respective second places, in this year’s 38. Badener Meile and last year’s German 1.000 Guineas. Nymeria finishes her racing career with €140,000 in total prize money and an RPR of 108.

We are very proud to see this tough filly carry Wiedingen blood to France, and we eagerly anticipate her offspring, which undoubtedly will be just as wonderful as her!
