Chief handicapper Harald Siemen awarded Horst Pudwill's winner of the Grosser Hansa-Preis a new handicap rating of 99 kg. The four-year-old son of our champion sire Soldier Hollow had beaten both Iquitos and Guignol, two of the highest rated horses in the country, in this 2400 m G2 challenge last Saturday. The British Racingpost awared the colt a rating of 115 making him the third most successful progeny of his sire – and the one still active while the top two, Pastorius and Our Ivanhowe, have retired.
The chief goal declared for his 2017 campaign sees DSCHINGIS SECRET start in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in Chantilly on October 1st. To get there, the path may potentially lead through the Großer Preis von Berlin, a G1 contest over 2400 m held in Hoppegarten in August. |
