DSCHINGIS SECRET all set for the Arc
Only three more days until the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe which, due to redevelopment work at the Longchamp track, will be held at Chantilly this year.

Only three more days until Wiedingen-bred DSCHINGIS SECRET will have the chance to become the third horse to make German history in Europe’s most prestigious race. According to trainer Markus Klug, the four-year-old by our champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW out of our top-mare DIVYA is in great spirits and has worked well. His jockey Adrie de Vries was quoted to be hopeful by Galopponline two days ago. Chantilly's turf is reportedly soft already, but some more rain won't hurt at all.

If the latest weather forecast can be trusted, chances for that are good as there is promise for heavy thunderstorms over Paris on Thursday night and a 70% chance of rain on Sunday even. Together with the British star filly ENABLE, who was supplemented into the race just yesterday, Dschingis Secret will likely meet 18 elite contenders for the toughest challenge of his career yet. The John Gosdon-trained three-year-old Abduallah-filly is unbeaten in four consecutive G1-races, amongst them the King George IV & Queen Elizabeth Stakes where she impressively showed the co-favored ULYSSES how it’s done.

But nobody said it would be easy for our crack anyway. On Sunday, shortly after 3 p.m. European time, we will know more. Until then, we will follow the rain clouds over Paris on the weather radar and revel in the amazing feeling of having bred an Arc contender! After all, that’s a phenomenal success for a small breeding operation like ours, and one thing we know for sure: the fantastic bay will give it his all and will ran his heart out … the rest is up to the goddess Fortuna and the weather gods.
