Wiedingen-bred FOSUN, who races in the silks of Horst Pudwill, finished with a great third place in the €55,000 G3 Großer Preis der Mehl-Mülhens-Stiftung Gestüt Röttgen. The filly by our champion sire Soldier Hollow out of our FLAMINGO SKY went straight to the front after breaking well under Martin Seidl. The reliable four-year-old even jumped ahead for the lead entering the deep stretch, though had to settle for third place after 2200 m on heavy going, while giving the winner only 3/4 of a length.
Another Wiedingen-bred filly ran a formidable race as well. The full sister to Prix Foy-winner and Germany's current top horse DSCHINGIS SECRET, DIANA STORM, finished with a strong fourth place under Jozef Bojko. |
