A Star says good-bye: DSCHINGIS SECRET takes up study duty
A great racing career is coming to an end, and a new opportunity to do even greater things is already on the horizon: The reigning Horse Of The Year DSCHINGIS SECRET is concluding his active career and will take up stud duty in France next year.

We say goodbye to DSCHINGIS SECRET–he means so much to our stud farm Park Wiedingen! As the firstling of our top-mare DIVYA (Platini) the colt is at the same time one of the most successful offspring of our Champion Sire and current leading German sire SOLDIER HOLLOW and thus a figurehead for our breeding operation.

DSCHINGIS SECRET finished third in the G1 German Derby, and later in the year took the Italian St. Leger at G3 level with a gala performance. At the age of four the stallion shone with two G2 victories in Cologne and Hamburg respectively and then triumphed in the G1 Großer Preis von Berlin, a form he confirmed with a more than convincing victory in the G2 Qatar Prix Foy where he fiercely relegated the later Arc runner-up Cloth Of Stars to the place of honour. In the Arc itself DSCHINGIS SECRET crossed the line in sixth place, which was a great result considering the difficult trip he has had in the race. The title HORSE OF THE YEAR 2017 was more than deserved, as were the 100 kg GAG he received at the end of the year.

In a dry year that did not offer him the best conditions, the colt closes his racing career with a repeat of last year's victory in the G2 Hansa-Preis, a strong second place in the G2 Grand Prix de Chantilly behind multiple G1 winner and Arc co-favorite Waldgeist and both a third and fourth place at G1 level. The SOLDIER HOLLOW-son is the third offspring of his sire to go into breeding with a RPR of 120 and prize money amounting to almost €500,000 in 20 starts, 7 wins and 6 placings.

Throughout his racing career, DSCHINGIS SECRET wore the the well-known blue colours of Horst Pudwill, whereas as a stallion he will be managed by an owner syndicate standing at the Haras de Saint Arnoult in the beautiful heart of Normandy. We are so proud of this extraordinary horse and wish him every success on his way to following into his father's footsteps!
