Our home-bred WESTERN SOLDIER was much the best in today's top handicap at Hanover, a class 1 handicap run over the mile, although it did not look like it until 300 meters before the post. There seemed to be no open passage for long, but when Bauyrzhan Murzabayev found a gap with his partner, he drew away irresistibly and easily put more lengths between himself and the field before hitting the post. The stewards noted - superior - and this under top weight!
