SOLDIER HOLLOW daughter VIRGINIA JOY continues her positive USA trend this year with a strong finish in the $200,000 Sheepshead Bay Stakes at Belmont Park yesterday evening German time. The Chad Brown-trained six-year-old was ridden by Dylan Davis when finishing a length and a half behind the winner in the Gr.2 contest run over 2,200 metres thanks to a great final run.
A breeding product of Auenquelle Stud, VIRGINIA JOY was third in the 2020 Gr.1 German Oaks and then moved across the pond as a top seller at Arqana, where she has since carried Peter Brant's colors.
