With two furlongs to go, he flattened his ears, hit another gear … and gone he was. At the wire, Horst Pudwill’s Soldier Hollow-colt and Derby-third Dschingis Secret was sevend lenghts ahead of the rest and had entered himself into the winners list of the tradition-steeped Gr.3 St. Leger Italiano with a more than impressive performance. His partner from the derby, Martin Seidl, was once again aboard the colt and delivered him an undisturbed trip behind the pace setter of the 2,800 m race. Leaving the final turn, Seidl called on the colt and Dschingis Secret seemingly kicked into overdrive, taking off like a steam train and quickly leaving the field behind. A glowing performance by a team that obviously gets along very well, making our top sire Soldier Hollow very proud once again. We congratulate connections and the team of trainer Markus Klug to this thrilling success!
