| The second classic of the turf season was on the program today in Cologne: The 38th running of the Mehl-Mülhens-Rennen, also called the German 2000 Guineas. Our fresh winner DHANGADHI was among the contestants for the €153,000 Gr.2 challenge over the mile. The SOLDIER HOLLOW colt out of our Champion2YO DHABA finished the best of the three German horses in the race and ran a very strong race against foreign rivals, finishing third under Rene Piechulek. The trainee of Peter Schiergen missed the place of honour behind a superior winner only by a whiff and clearly showed his whole class. |
