Park Wiedingen-bred WINNING SPIRIT achieved a very outstanding price of €430,000 at the Arc Sale yesterday evening. The full brother of the Champion2YO WHISPERING ANGEL and the Group-placed WANGARI and WESTERN SOLDIER changed ownership to Liberty Racing 2021 as a yearling at the BBAG Auction. For the syndicate, the Soldier Hollow colt was then second in the Italian Derby and fourth in the German Derby and a two-time Listed winner. WINNING SPIRIT was purchased at auction by Nicolas Clement and will reportedly continue his career with his brother in the USA.
